The Passover
October 13, 2008 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.-Exodus 12:13
God has been so patient with the Egyptians. They had afflicted His people for at least eighty years. But He didn’t just wipe them out. He gave them preliminary notices that the day of judgment was arriving. He gave them the opportunity to change and to escape His judgment. Jesus Christ.
Wisdom for Today
The world in which we live places great value on knowledge. But people don’t always strive to know the most important things. The truth is you may be extremely knowledgeable about insects, or stars, or the sciences. You may be very wise about those sorts of things and people might really admire you for that knowledge. That’s all well and good, but if you don’t have the wisdom of God, you’re missing the most important knowledge a man can ever hope to attain.
