Who is The Lord?
October 12, 2008 Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, "Thus says the lord God of Israel: ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’" And Pharaoh said, "Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go."-Exodus 5:1-2
Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh with the demands of the Lord to let their people go. But he answered, "Who is the Lord that I should obey Him? I do not know the Lord, neither will I obey." Who is the Lord? Pharaoh was about to get the answer to his question.
Wisdom for Today
The world in which we live places great value on knowledge. But people don’t always strive to know the most important things. The truth is you may be extremely knowledgeable about insects, or stars, or the sciences. You may be very wise about those sorts of things and people might really admire you for that knowledge. That’s all well and good, but if you don’t have the wisdom of God, you’re missing the most important knowledge a man can ever hope to attain.
