As a 17 year old High School student living in Southern California, Jim attended an outreach of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.  It was there that he heard the Gospel message for the first time.  In Jim’s own words, “The news that Jesus loved me, died for me and wanted to give me everlasting life rang true in my young ears. I remember raising my hand to receive Jesus, and being overjoyed with His love.” Over the next few years Jim began to experience Jesus changing his life.

A few years later, he began to teach the Bible within the youth ministry at CCCM. It was during this time that Jim felt the call of God to ministry.  He knew that God had called him to teach others the simple truths about Jesus. After serving at CCCM for 9 years, Jim and his family made the move to Vero Beach Florida and began ministering at Calvary Chapel Vero Beach.

Jim has been the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Vero Beach since 1998. Then and now his heart is expressed in the words of Paul: “Until we come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
