We Deliver the Bible to Children in the Public Schools

It's happening through Released Time Education. Released Time is sanctioned by section 46014 of the state education code which allows public school children to receive religious education for one hour each week during the school day at an off campus site. Currently over thirty school districts in California have Released Time programs.
Parents voluntarily enroll their children by filling out an enrollment card provided by the local Released Time organization. In most districts Released Time Education is provided for students in the fourth and fifth grade students and sixth grade in some elementary schools.
Individuals who teach are trained by local Released Time Education organizations. Teachers include: Pastors, retired school teachers, youth workers, collage students as well as volunteer parents. Students are taught from a curriculum that gives them a thorough overview of the Old and New Testaments. Our Released Time Education program emphasizes personal application of Biblical truths which build character and moral development. Classes also include singing, prayer, Bible verse memorization and interactive sharing.
Evangelical Released Time Education relies solely on the financial support and participation of local churches and concerned individuals. Released Time classes are offered free of charge to all who enroll. Each child is also provided his or her own Bible if they don't already have one.
