Calvary Chapel Refuge Huntington Beach senior pastor's wife, Joy Welsh, shares her heart and excitement as she welcomes you to join her at the upcoming Senior Pastors Wives retreat.
Dear Senior Pastor's Wife,
We want to invite you to come away and rest! With all of the demands on our time and resources, we need to make time to wait on the Lord and allow Him to fill us up so we can continue to be poured out. With this in mind, we have intentionally set aside time for a Senior Pastor’s Wives Retreat at the Twin Peaks Conference Center in the San Bernardino Mountains on May 7-9, 2018.
Our heart for this retreat is to provide an environment for you to step away from the pressures and burdens of life, sit at Jesus’ feet, and connect with other women in like ministry situations. The schedule is light and focused on waiting on the Lord. It is our prayer that each of us will leave this retreat with more of Jesus!
We understand that some of you will need to travel a distance to get here. If you would like to bring one of your support team with you, we welcome you to do so and will have separate lodging for them. The senior pastor’s wives will be lodging (2 ladies per room), dining, and meeting together. All supporting ladies will be staying in a separate lodge with our prayer team. The support team members will have the opportunity to intercede for you while you are here, and have special sessions focused on supporting their pastor’s wife and serving in ministry.
Join me and other senior pastor’s wives for a time of refreshment and fellowship. Limited scholarships available.
Our Lord holds you in the palm of His hands and desires to give you rest: “‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
Blessings to you,
Cheryl Brodersen and the CGN Team
As a pastor’s wife, do you feel a burden of perfection in your ministry and home life? Enjoy this episode of Things That Matter as Pastor Brian Brodersen interviews his wife, Cheryl Brodersen, on being a pastor’s wife. Cheryl breaks down the difference between “identity" and “role” and encourages women, whether as a pastor’s wife or not, to place their identity in Jesus Christ alone. Once He is placed as the central focus, life and ministry begin to flow.
