Are You Forwarding All Issues to Heaven?

Are You Forwarding All Issues to Heaven?

A very wise person once said, "Cupcakes are muffins that believe in miracles." When you believe in the God of hope, you become too childlike to realize some things are impossible, so you do them by accident. Faith occasions miracles: Muffins become cupcakes; persecutors become preachers (Saul); murderous sorcerers become revivalists (Manasseh), and ultimate chickens become ultimate fighters (Peter denying Jesus when, hem hem, a little girl peer pressured him, only to request that he be crucified upside down).

Jesus promised that all things are possible to him who believes.

Conversely, life without faith is like a Reece’s Pieces that's sugar free: It's NOT how it was designed. The Psalmist understood this. He had a craving for God. In the first three verses of Psalm 42, he listed mankind's three greatest appetites.

In verse 1 he panted for God: air.
In verse 2 he thirsted for God: water.
In verse 3 his tears were his meat: food.

Mankind can live 40 days without food, three days without water, eight minutes without air…but he cannot live a second without the God of hope. The only quick fix is to fix your eyes on the Lord, the author and finisher of our faith.

The acronym of F.A.I.T.H. is only too true: Forwarding All Issues To Heaven.

You can fight fright and flight when you are faith-filled about how faithful God is, and therefore, you'll be fulfilled. He is what you truly crave. He is the atmosphere in which you live, move and have your being. He is the air you breathe; the water that will cause you to never thirst again, the bread from heaven.

When you forward all issues to heaven and "faith your fears," you'll be strong when everything's going wrong, hope and cope and find grace for your every disgrace. When you have faith, you can weather any whirlwind, thole every thunderhead, brave the wave.

When you have faith, storms become steppingstones.

Now, if you're like me, you might find it hard to keep the faith when things go south. But Jesus never required loads of faith to do miracles. He didn't say we need a mountain of faith to move a mustard seed. We need only a mustard seed of faith to move a mountain.

Turn your cares into prayers, forward all issues to heaven, whet your appetite for the God of hope, faith your fears…and mountains will leap into the sea; muffins will become cupcakes, and disciples who once failed to grasp the upside-down kingdom will turn the world right-side up.
