This past June, Calvary Global Network hosted its annual international conference at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. The event spanned three full days, during which the main speakers worked through the book of 1 Peter, presenters equipped attendees through a wide variety of workshops, and all enjoyed food and conversation with friends old and new. After the conference, the CGN executive team got together to debrief. We unanimously agreed to make all the sessions and workshops available for free. You can access all the content at https://cgn.org/2024archives/

The executive team was united not only in this decision but also in its reasoning. Here’s why we wanted to share this conference and why you should make time to listen to all the content:

1 Peter’s Message for Today’s Church

Although the entirety of the Bible is intended for the entire church throughout the ages, there are occasions when it seems as though a scripture author is writing directly for the current times. “Foreigners and Exiles,” Peter’s affectionate term for Christians, reflects our increasing sense of alienation from this world and the imperative call to live differently than our neighbors. In an election year and one of the most politically charged seasons of our lifetime, the interconnected concepts of humble submission and hope in the return of Christ are critical—furthermore, the call to do good and endure suffering counters the strong temptation to compromise or despair. At our conference, it was not just 1 Peter that was laid bare; it was our hearts (Heb 4:12).

We Cannot Help but Share What Encouraged Us

If you had eavesdropped at any point during the conference, you would have noticed a trend in the discussions: “Did you hear that last session?” “Oh man, that workshop was so helpful.” “I wish my whole team had been here to hear this.” The executive team felt the same. Truthfully, we wanted the ability to share the conference with our friends and co-laborers freely, and we are delighted to extend the same opportunity to the attendees.

This Content is an Excellent Introduction to CGN

More than any previous conference, this year’s event perfectly encapsulated CGN’s heart, values, and vision. If you are curious about who we are, what we stand for, and whether you can find a family with us, let us introduce ourselves through this conference.

We are so thankful for what God is doing in CGN. This past June, God blessed our conference, and we pray that you will be blessed as well.
